Field Systems Engineer

As an integral part of the Foedus team, the Field Systems Engineer utilizes a strong mix of customer relations skills combined with technical acuity. This individual will serve as the focal point for our efforts to solve business problems with technical solutions. The position requires someone who can both architect and implement these solutions. A customer focused hands-on approach to systems and networking is a must.

• Ability to troubleshoot and evaluate existing technology
• Ability to create technology solutions
• Listen to and be able to document customer needs and requirements
• Training customers on the use of new technology
• Work as a member of a team providing technology solutions
• Serve at times as a pre-sales engineer in defining customer needs and benefits
• Be adept at hands-on implementation of new technologies

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree combined with 3-5 years experience in networking and integrations support and administration. Prior experience in Virtualization technologies a strong preference!

Special Requirements/Certifications

Communication Skills: Successful candidates will have superior written and verbal communication skills. Outstanding listening skills a must.

Reasoning Skills: The ability to translate challenges into solutions. The ability to think on your feet and capture customer needs and business opportunities.

Computer Skills: Hands on networking skills in design, builds and trouble-shooting, a must; experience and certification in virtualization technologies strongly preferred. A solid background in Microsoft technologies, Storage, Citrix and/or IP networking rounds out a perfect candidate.
